The Room (film)

The Room is a 2003 drama film written and directed by its main actor, Tommy Wiseau, who is also credited on screen as both the movie's producer and executive producer. The principal cast includes Wiseau, Juliette Danielle, Greg Sestero, Philip Haldiman, Carolyn Minnott, and Robyn Paris. The Room tells the melodramatic story of a love triangle between a man, his fiancée, and his best friend.

Without any studio support, Wiseau spent over US$6 million on production and marketing for the film. Wiseau promotes the film as a black comedy and insists that its humor is actually intentional, although a cast member has anonymously disputed these claims and many audience members generally view the film as a poorly made drama.

The Room has been cited by some critics as one of the worst films ever made, and has been called "the Citizen Kane of bad movies." After a brief run in Los Angeles, the film went on to develop a cult following and continues to have midnight screenings around the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Denmark.

Alright, here is what I had done so far on the AOSHIMA Nissan R35 Pre-painted kit. For the first time, my both hands are free from paints! I must say this is a very enjoyable build. Required no stress and sweat. Just a pair of scissor, cutter, cement and some patience.

In about 1 hour, I managed to complete the whole interior and under-chassis.


Aoshima did a great job on the painted interior. Most of the parts are painted to contrast the painted black interior. Hey even the air-con vents are painted!


This is the part where I must thanks AOSHIMA. The R35 window frame had been pre-painted! Even some small details like the signal lights on the front bumper and rear bumper are painted too! Seriously save me the time of masking that out.

Another picture where the painted headlamps and bumpers are cemented in place. I am liking this build so much. No doubt I am going for another Aoshima Pre-painted kit!


I think AOSHIMA should call their new PrePainted range the "Lazy man 1:24 model kit". LOL

The Evora is the first product of a five year plan started in 2006 to expand the Lotus line of cars. As such it is a larger car than recent Lotus models Elise and its derivatives (Exige, Europa S, etc.), weighing an estimated curb weight of 1,350 kg (3,000 lb). It is currently the only Lotus model with a 2+2 configuration, although it has been announced that it will also be offered in a two-seater configuration, referred to as the "Plus Zero" option。 It is also the only 2+2 mid engined coupé on sale. The interior is larger to allow taller persons to fit, such as Lotus CEO Mike Kimberly, and two 99th percentile (6'5") American males.

The cooled boot behind the engine is large enough to fit a set of goff clubs. Lotus intends the Evora to compete with different market sectors including the Porsche Carmen.

This year's Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance was a celebration of Duesenbergs from both the road and track. Picked from over thirty cars in the feature classes, top awards went to the SJ Mormon Meteor Speedster and SJN Arlington Torpedo known as ‘20 Grand.’

This is the latest 1/24 kit i acquired a few months ago. The kit is 1/24 Aoshima Nissan GTR 35 "Pre-painted kit". This is the first time I venture on a pre-painted kit, usually I do all the painting and details myself for all my 1/24 car models.



When I saw this kit online I said to myself to give it a try and see how "pre-painted" is pre-painted in Aoshima dictionary. Usually for a pre-painted kit, Gundam or whatever kit, they are usually limitation on the paint job as smaller details are usually ignored.


Upon inspecting the model kit, I must say I am very impress with the details that Aoshima put on to the kit. To sum it up, you just need a pair of scissors and cutter. Everything is pre-painted as said on the box.

What had been painted?

• Car, bumper, spoiler all painted in Pearl white
  
• The car window black frame (a real pain in the butt if you have to do it yourself)
• Lower body black skirting
  
• Brake caliper
• Suspension

• Window black detail (also a big pain in the butt due to masking it)
